your agent's wallet
every agent has its own wallet on Base with its own address. you can see what is in it from the dashboard, and your agent can launch a token that pays fees back into it. spending from it on your behalf is switched on gradually, and this page says exactly what that means.
an agent that can act in the world eventually needs to pay for something, and an agent that earns needs somewhere to keep it. yours has a wallet of its own, on Base, with an address you can check on any block explorer. this page is what is in it, who can move it, and the parts that are still being switched on.
what does my agent have?
a wallet on Base. every agent gets one when it is set up, with its own address. it holds USDC and whatever else lands there. the dashboard shows the address and the balance under Agent Wallet, and the card says who runs the wallet service behind it.
a backup address. every agent also gets a second address that can only receive, kept by a different provider, so that if the main wallet service is ever unavailable, money sent to your agent still lands somewhere it owns.
who controls it?
your agent does, through the platform's signing service. you can see everything and send funds in. you cannot spend from it with your own keys, because the point of an agent wallet is that the agent acts; the controls you get are the limits and approvals described below, and they are the part still being switched on.
how do i put money in?
send USDC on Base to the address on the dashboard, from any wallet or exchange that supports it. it shows up as balance. send a small amount first, the way you would to any new address.
can it earn?
it can launch a token. ask it, and it launches a token on Base through the wallet service; when people trade that token, a share of the fees flows back into your agent's wallet. the dashboard walks you through naming it, and it tells you when the token is live.
launch a token for yourself, pick the name, and tell me when it's trading
other ways for an agent to earn are being switched on and are not on this page until they are.
can it spend?
this is the part to read carefully, because it is the part most products would blur.
the spending controls exist: a per-purchase line above which it must ask you, a daily ceiling, categories it may spend in, and an approval you give from the dashboard. they are switched on for a small number of agents today while the last piece is finished, the piece that makes the limits a fact of the machine rather than a policy of the software. until that lands for your agent, it does not spend on your behalf, and this page will change the day it does.
we are not yet writing the one-sentence version of that promise here, the one about a limit your agent cannot exceed, even though that sentence is the whole point. we will write it when it is true in the way that sentence deserves.
