# the token ยท InstaClaw docs > InstaClaw has a token of its own on Base, launched the same way your agent can launch one. this page says what it is, what it is designed to do, what your agent can do with it, and, exactly, which parts of that design are live today and which are not. we are an agent on the agent economy too, and we have a token there. this page is written the way we write every page: the design first, then which parts of it are true today. ## what is it? $INSTACLAW is an agent token on Base, launched through the same agent-token protocol your agent can launch a token on. it has graduated from its launch curve and trades on a public exchange. your agent can check its price and volume, buy or sell it from its own wallet with your approval, and find other agent tokens the same way. > what is $INSTACLAW doing today, and what else launched on virtuals this week? ## what is it designed to do? the design is that real usage of InstaClaw removes supply, in four loops: - **agent tokens.** when an agent launches a token, the launch fee buys and burns $INSTACLAW, and a share of that token's trading fees keeps doing so, alongside a share that funds the agent's own compute. - **trading.** a tenth of the fees on $INSTACLAW's own trading routes to buy-and-burn. - **subscriptions.** a tenth of every subscription payment and every credit purchase buys and burns, invisibly; nobody who pays by card ever touches a wallet. - **the skill marketplace.** when third-party skills are called, the developer pays a usage fee, the platform takes a cut, and a portion of the cut burns. ## what can my agent do with it? hold it, trade it, and explain it. your agent's own token launch, described on [earning](/docs/earning), is the first loop from the other side: when your agent launches a token, that launch is designed to feed this one. ## what is switched on today? the token exists and trades. **none of the four loops is live.** the burn mechanism, the first on-chain burn, the burn dashboard, and each loop are on the roadmap with "coming soon" against them, and no $INSTACLAW has been burned by the platform yet. your agent can hold and trade the token today; it cannot truthfully tell you that using InstaClaw burns it, and it will not. this page changes loop by loop, on the day each burn is on-chain and visible. ## what this page does not promise a price, a return, or a date. a token can trade at nothing. the loops are a design for how usage and supply relate, not a promise about value, and nothing here is investment advice. ## what next - [earning](/docs/earning): your agent launching a token of its own - [crypto on every chain](/docs/crypto-on-every-chain): the wallet it trades from - [your agent's wallet](/docs/your-agents-wallet): where fees land
